Fused glass art is created by fusing and molding multiple layers of colored glass and can be used to create everything from plates and bowls to custom art and jewelry. A specially designed kiln is used to melt and mold the glass. For some designs it is possible to use some techniques that look like the glass has been carved or that has copper designs as inclusions.
Plates can be round, square or oblong up to 16 inches in diameter or length. Sushi sets are available. Spoon rests can be small or large in size.
The plate of Africa with the elephant in the middle was commissioned by a couple who had hiked in that area of Africa and one night an elephant ended up sitting on their tent. This was to commemorate that memorable event.
Wall art is also possible as seen with the picture of the Victorian Santa and the woman’s profile.
Heat is not used in the production of stained glass pieces. As such, the available choices of glass are much more varied in color and texture. This form of glass art can be molded into lampshades, sun catchers for your window, picture frames or small boxes.
In addition to creating one-of-a-kind glass beads and pendants, Anne also utilizes sterling silver and other non-allergenic metals in combination with Swarovski crystals, Czech crystals, pearls and precious stones to create beautiful custom jewelry of all kinds.
